Jeannie is a Licensed Professional Counselor with an extensive background in grief, anxiety and stress, including traumatic stress. She is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management and has provided numerous debriefings to firefighters and other first responders, as well as civilians following disasters. Additionally, Jeannie assists clients dealing with depression, anxiety and abuse.
Jeannie is certified in Imago Relational Therapy for couples. This unique therapy helps couples understand the unconscious dynamics in their relationships, so that they can move beyond the power struggle and into conscious love.
Licensed since 1995, she holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has worked with men and women of all ages and cultural/professional backgrounds. As part of the the Decatur Psychotherapy Group Practice, she offers individual, couples and group counseling in Decatur, Georgia.
